Police searching for suspect in active investigation. The suspect is known to use an alias.
On January 10, 2019, just before 8:30 a.m., members of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police were investigating a suspect vehicle with one occupant at an address on Greenock-Elderslie Townline in the Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.
During the investigation, the suspect fled the scene in the vehicle, striking two police cruisers and injuring an officer. The injured officer discharged a firearm at the suspect with unknown results.
On January 13, 2019, shortly before 2:00 p.m., South Bruce OPP members responded to an abandoned vehicle located at the Howick Minto Townline in South Bruce; the vehicle was identified as the subject vehicle in this investigation and has been recovered.
It has since been determined that the suspect, Jeremy Jason Hogg uses an alternate identity and may also be known as Jeremy Gerrard. He remains outstanding and is currently wanted by South Bruce OPP.
This man should not be approached. If observed, contact police immediately by dialing 9-1-1.
