On January 29, 2019 just before 7:00 p.m. the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two motor vehicle collision on Bruce Road 23 in the Municipality of Kincardine.

A pickup truck and a passenger vehicle collided on Bruce Road 23 causing the passenger vehicle to enter the ditch. There were no injuries to the vehicles drivers.

The driver of the pickup truck left the scene of the accident and was located a short time later.

Raye Ivan MCLELLAND age 67 of Kincardine, was arrested and charged with:

Operation while impaired by alcohol 
Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration 80 plus 
Failure to stop after accident 

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Walkerton on February 20, 2019.

His driver's licence was suspended for an automatic 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
