Two Owen Sound men were arrested and face charges after two separate incidents.
A 23-year-old Owen Sound man faces charges after an altercation at an east side motel Sunday afternoon. Police were called after the suspect threatened to kill the clerk when he was refused a room at the motel. He then proceeded to remove a large kitchen knife from his bag and transferred it to his pocket. The staff members locked themselves in the office until police arrived and arrested the male without incident. He will appear in court on March 11th for a bail hearing.
A 27-year-old Owen Sound male was arrested and charged with animal cruelty after witnesses observed him kicking and hitting a family dog. The dog did not appear to suffer any serious injuries. The male was released from custody and will appear in court on April 18, 2019 to answer to the charge.
