A stolen pick-up truck from Hanover believed to be involved in gas drive-offs in the Township of Southgate and the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
On March 10, 2019 at approximately 2:52 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a gas drive-off from the Esso Gas Station located on Main Street East, Dundalk, in the Township of Southgate. An unknown male pumped $94.00 of fuel into a burgundy Dodge RAM pickup truck and left without any effort to pay for the fuel. While investigating the theft of fuel, police received information regarding a stolen pick-up truck from Hanover. The stolen truck matched the description of the truck used in the gas drive-off in Dundalk.
On March 11, 2019 at approximately 2:53 p.m., Grey County OPP received a report of a gas drive-off from Springmount Esso on Highway 6 and 21 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs. An unknown male pumped $57.00 of fuel into a burgundy Dodge RAM pick-up truck and left without any effort to pay for the fuel.
Police believe the same vehicle was used in both gas drive-offs.
