Chief Ambrose honoured volunteers with citations.
At 11:00 a.m, on Thursday May 16, 2019, Chief Craig Ambrose honoured three citizens of Owen Sound for their volunteerism that spans decades, not only in our province, but specifically in the city of Owen Sound.
David Kennedy was honoured with a Chief’s Citation for his almost two decades of service to police agencies including Halton, Orangeville and Owen Sound, where he served as Police Chaplain and an Auxiliary Police Officer. He also served as the Chaplain for the Orangeville Fire Service before moving to Owen Sound. Pastor Kennedy has recently retired from the Salvation Army in Owen Sound.
Darlyn Gaviller and Linda Williams were honoured for their service that began more than seventeen years ago. They have both interacted with a countless number of people at our satellite police office at the Heritage Place Mall, while balancing time with family, work and their own personal lives. Both Darlyn and Linda have consistently represented the Police Service as volunteer members with great professionalism and distinction.
Congratulations to the 2019 recipients of the Owen Sound Police Service, Chief’s Citations.
