On June 14, 2019 shortly after 4:00 pm the Owen Sound Police Service received a call regarding a possible impaired driver. At one point the male was seen slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle.

Police located the vehicle on the lower east side of the city. A 38 year old male was found to be impaired and arrested; his work vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded. Subsequent tests revealed the male to have 4 times the legal limit of alcohol in his system. He was charged with impaired and over 80. He was later released on a promise to appear with a 27 June 2019 court date.
