At 10:30 am, Owen Sound Police Service received calls relating to a male party being struck by a vehicle in the 300 block of 8th Street East.

Police determined that a male party was unloading parcels from the rear of a vehicle parked on the north side of the roadway. A westbound vehicle, driven by a 86 year old Owen Sound man, ran into the rear of the parked vehicle pinning a 64 year old Owen Sound man between both of the vehicles.

The injured male was transported to Grey Bruce Regional Health Services in serious condition.

The 300 block of 8th Street East has been closed for a police collision reconstructionist and the police identification unit to conduct an investigation. This section of roadway was expected to be closed until approximately 4 pm.
