On Monday August 26th 2019 at about 4:30pm, a collision occurred in the parking lot of the convenience store located on the corner of 6th Street East and 2nd Ave East within the city of Owen Sound.

A local area woman was walking in the parking lot when she was struck by a motor vehicle which had been reversing at the same location. The male driver of the small black car then left the area, failing to remain at the scene for police to arrive. Based on the impact of the collision, the pedestrian attended Grey Bruce Health Services where she was treated and released. This matter is still under investigation.
