On Thursday September 5 during the evening hours a 19 year old Toronto man attended a downtown pharmacy and passed a forged prescription in another person’s name in an effort to obtain narcotics. The man was in possession of a Health Card in the name of this person. The store verified that the prescription was false and contacted police.

Upon arrest the man provided another false name to police. Investigation revealed the correct identity of the male. He was held for a bail hearing on Friday September 6 for offences of Identity fraud, Utter a forged document and Obstruct police.

The Toronto man attended bail court and was released.

Within 1 hour the man returned to the same pharmacy and attempted to pick up the narcotics that he had requested from the prior night. He again provided the same false name as the night before.
