On September 29, 2019 at 1:48 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a bicyclist along Lighthouse Road in Point Clark. Officers arrived to find that the operator of a Volkswagen Golf struck the bicycle and left the scene. The rear window of the Golf broke when the cyclist was hit.

The involved vehicle is described as an early 2000's Silver VW Golf with a broken rear window.

The cyclist had non-life threatening injuries assessed by Bruce County Emergency Services (EMS) paramedics.
