On November 3, 2019 at 7:51 a.m. Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a truck in the ditch at Southgate Side Road 39, Grey Highlands. OPP officers contacted the owner of the truck, a company in Markdale and it was discovered to be stolen. After attending his business, the owner reported a second truck also stolen from the business property.
On November 4, 2019 Grey Bruce OPP were contacted by West Grey Police Service advising they had located the outstanding stolen truck on 10th Side Road NDR North of Concession 8 NDR, Township of West Grey. At the request of West Grey Police Service, OPP attended and recovered the vehicle and completed the investigation of the scene.
Further OPP resources, Scenes of Crime Officer (SOCO) processed the vehicle for evidence.
Grey Bruce OPP continue to investigate the theft of the two trucks.
