OPP dealing with high risk incident in Tara

OPP car On December 17, 2019 at 5:16 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a high risk situation along Yonge Street in Tara.

The South Bruce OPP has initiated road closures around the residence in the interest of public safety. The closures are at: Bruce County Road 10 and Concession 6, Mary Ann Street and Yonge Street, Bruce County Road 10 and Concession 6. Motorists are asked to respect the closure and avoid the incident area.

A number of specialized OPP resources have been engaged to assist the South Bruce OPP with this incident. OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), OPP Negotiators, OPP Canine Unit and the South Bruce OPP Crime Unit.

This is an isolated incident.
