On December 23, 2019 at 1:13 p.m. Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to motor vehicle collision involving a transport truck and a pedestrian at Highway 26, east of third line, Meaford. The pedestrian was transported to hospital by Grey County Paramedics, but died as a result of the injuries.

The collision occurred while the transport truck was leaving from a private drive, making a right turn eastbound onto Highway 26.

The deceased has been identified as 66 year old, Edith Clark from Meaford.

Grey Bruce OPP continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision with the assistance from OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators.
