Just before noon hour on January 9, 2020 a drug trafficking investigation conducted by the Owen Sound Police Service was concluded with the arrest of a 25-year-old Owen Sound male. Members of the Drug Enforcement Unit and Criminal Investigations Branch arrested the man on Alpha Street and found him in possession of more than $2,500 worth of highly toxic purple Fentanyl as well as other items associated with drug use and trafficking.
The man has been charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking and is being held in police custody pending an appearance in bail court.
The Owen Sound Police Service remains committed to investigating, arresting and charging those responsible for the distribution of dangerous and addictive drugs in our community.
