opp graphic fullOn February 8, 2020 at 11:59 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a break and enter from a residence along Colborne Street north in Walkerton. Officers arrived to find that the home had entered between 12:00 p.m. on February 8, 2020 and 11:30 p.m. on February 8, 2020. On February 9, 2020, South Bruce OPP executed a search warrant at a property along Maple Street in Walkerton in the course of the investigation.

As a result of the execution of the search warrant, police seized offence related property, drug paraphernalia and a quantity of a controlled substance.

A 26-years-old, from Brockton was charged with 2 counts of Break and Enter, Theft, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking. The accused was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for February 9, 2020.
