Officers from the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment are investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon north of Mildmay.

Shortly after 4:00 p.m. South Bruce OPP, Huron County OPP, South Bruce Fire Department and Bruce County Paramedic Services responded to the crash scene located on Highway 9 just south of Concession Road 12 East.

The driver of a compact car has died at the scene. The other involved driver was uninjured.

Members from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement (TIME) Team are currently on scene assisting with the collision investigation.

The name of the deceased will be released pending next-of-kin notification.

Highway 9 will remain closed for next few hours for the collision investigation. It will be closed between Concession Road 12 East and Concession Road 10.
