oppcruiser2On March 2, 2020 at 3:31 p.m. Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched to a confrontation between two motorists on Kemble Rock Road, Georgian Bluffs in Grey County.

The altercation began following a near collision at an intersection North of Kemble. The vehicles met up again a few kilometres down the road, at this point the driver of one of the vehicles blocked the road stopping the other vehicle. The driver of the blocking vehicle exited with a machete in hand and made threats to the other vehicle driver. The stopped vehicle left the scene without injuries.

OPP officers attended the area and located the suspect vehicle and driver parked on the side of the road on Grey Road 1.

The driver, 33 year old, Andrew Miller from Georgian Bluffs was arrested and charged with the following offences,

Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, section 88 Criminal Code of Canada (CC)
Two counts of failure to comply with release order, section 145(5)(a) CC
Driving while under suspension, section 53(1) Highway Traffic Act

The accused was held for a bail hearing on March 3, 2020 and following the hearing was remanded into custody.
