car cellphoneOn April 12, 2020 at 12:02 p.m., a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on patrol along Highway 21 in the Municipality of Kincardine when they observed a motorist using a cell phone.

A 54-year-old Huron-Kinloss Township resident was charged for Drive with Handheld Communication Device.

This charge carries a maximum fine of $1,000 and 3 demerit points upon conviction.

The South Bruce OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a secure web-tip at www.cstip.ca, where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2000.
