On the 19th of May, 2020, in the afternoon, a woman was unloading items from her vehicle at a west side address. The woman began carrying the contents in to a residence, however when she returned to her vehicle for a second trip, she found a man sitting in the drivers seat attempting to steal it.

The woman confronted the suspect who exited the car and fled on foot. The woman then pursued the suspect, chasing him until she was assisted by additional witnesses and the Police arrived. The suspect was located and arrested a short time afterward.

A special thanks goes to those involved for their efforts, which directly assisted in the successful arrest of the suspect. Police want to remind citizens to be vigilant and always keep their vehicles locked and possessions securred, no matter the time of day.
