oppcarOn August 11, 2020 at 7:32 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a 2 vehicle collision at the intersection of Bruce County Road 10 and Concession 6 in Arran Township. Officers attended with members of the Tara Fire Department and Bruce County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to find a transport truck and a passenger vehicle involved in the crash.

The driver of the vehicle was extricated from the vehicle by fire fighters and airlifted to a London hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The passenger of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. Their identity is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.

The driver of the transport didn't report any injuries at the scene.

Bruce County Road 10 was closed for the protection of emergency responders. It has since re-opened to traffic.

Members of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation (TTCI) unit are assisting the South Bruce OPP with this incident.
