The man was confronted by police in the hallway of an east side apartment building where he attempted to resist his arrest and distance himself from a knapsack that he had been carrying.

The knapsack was later searched by police which resulted in the location of highly toxic purple Fentanyl and an imitation Glock firearm that bore a striking resemblance to police issued firearms.

The accused is being detained in police custody pending a bail hearing that is scheduled for the morning of August 19, 2020. The accused is charged with the following criminal offences;

- Four counts of failure to comply with a recognizance of Bail
- Possession of Fentanyl
- Carrying a concealed weapon
- Assault with to intent to resist arrest
