Perched behind them up on the school's stage was the real star of the show ... the actual Stanley Cup.

More than 300 pupils and staff at Alexandra were part of the Hockey Day In Canada celebrations Thursday, Jan. 19, in Owen Sound.
The Cup, fresh from an appearance at École East Ridge, made its entrance with Cup handler and Hockey Hall of Fame curator Phil Pritchard following former Maple Leafs Darcy Tucker and Wendel Clark, former Pittsburgh Penguin and Owen Sound Plater Chris Minard, accomplished Olympian Blayre Turnbull, and Owen Sound Attack's Ethan Burroughs and Nolan Seed into the morning assembly.
