The Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre was a bopping hub of activity Friday afternoon, and the intensity will only ramp up as the Alumni & Celebrity Classic rolls into the rink for the evening's match-up and post-game party.
There was serious business first – the East versus West High School Challenge Cup games, girls then boys, the Owen Sound District Secondary School Wolves versus the St. Mary's High School Mustangs.
The Cups both went east, the Mustangs over the Wolves 5 - 3 in the girls game, 3 - 2 in the boys.

Hockey Day In Canada festivities wind up Saturday, Jan. 21, starting with the Girls Hockey Fest at the Bayshore, followed by fast-paced very competitive PWHPA and OUA games also at the Bayshore; the Stanley Cup Parade from Scotiabank downtown to Harrison Park; the Scotiabank Hockey Day In Canada live broadcast with host Ron MacLean; Maple Leafs clinics, shinny and public skating also at the park during the broadcast; and winding up back at the Bayshore as the Owen Sound Attack take on the Peterborough Petes in OHL action at 6:30 p.m.
