Owen Sound U19 Krueger Steel girls field lacrosse team played two games of field lacrosse in Orillia on Saturday.
They lost their first game against Oakville with a score of 10-4.
Team goals were scored by Aliviah McCall (2) and singles by Willow Smith and Megan Cowan.
The U19's second game was a 17-6 loss against Mimico.
Goals were scored by Willow Smith, Camryn Stauffer, Megan Cowan, Grace Smyth, Hannah Davies and Aliviah McCall.
The team will be heading to Oakville for provincials.

The Owen Sound U15A Fire Fighters North Stars had a tie and a loss in a pair of games in Ontario Women’s Field Lacrosse play in Orillia on Saturday.
In their first game, the fourth-ranked North Stars tied the second-ranked Halton Hills Bulldogs 6-6.
London Doyle and Leah Cooper scored two goals each for Owen Sound while Taryn Weppler, and Bree Wilkins scored one goal each.
The North Stars lost a close match to the number 3-ranked Toronto Beaches 10-9 in their second game of the day.
Bree Wilkins led the attack with 3 goals and three assists. London Doyle also scored three goals, while Camryn Laycock scored two goals and Leah Cooper added a single marker.
The North Stars finished the regular season with a record of 7 wins, 4 loses and 1 tie.
The U15A squad will be off next weekend before heading to the Provincial Championships in Oakville July 28th-30th, where they have qualified in the ‘A’ division.

The Owen Sound U15B John Shute Optometry North Stars played twohard fought games in Orillia this weekend, unfortunately ending up on the wrong side of both.
In game one, the North Stars were matched up against a determined Hamilton team.
Lauren Neil played a great game on defence and also contributed offensively with an excellent end to end rush. Other goal scorers in game one were Megan Nissen, Noelle Brewster, Ally Scott and Addison McCoubrey each with 2 goals.
In the end the North Stars fell 11-9.
In game two the North Stars started out strong, but once again couldn’t sustain their early momentum as Burlington battled back and squeezed out a 10-8 victory.
Game two goal scorers were Noelle Brewster with 3, Charlotte Fox with 2, and singles by Leah Sundermeier, Megan Nissen and Lauren Neil.
We were in need of a goalie for the weekend, and Paityn McKenzie stepped up to play net for the first time. She did a great job, and made key saves throughout the day.

The Owen Sound U13 Legacy Ridge Golf Club travelled to Orillia for their last weekend of regular season play on Sunday.
Their first match was against Oakville. Their game play is continuing to improve which is leading to more offensive chances as a team. They continued to battle but fell short to a 8-3 loss.
Goals scored by Scarlett Stevenson (2) and Ella Todd.
Next up was the home town host Orillia. The girls played a strong physical game sticking together. It brought more confidence along with players showing their best game play, which lead to a 7-7 tie.
Goals scored Scarlett Stevenson (4). Singles by Avery Thompson, Ella Todd and Reese Harvey.
Olyvia Wagner did an incredible job stepping into the net for the first time.
The girls will travel to Brampton for Provincials this upcoming weekend.

It was the last regular season weekend for the Owen Sound U11A Ron Hopper Real Estate girls field lacrosse team before heading into provincials.
The girls won their first game against Kitchener-Waterloo 13-7.
It was tight after the first half but pulled away in the second half with amazing defense by Harper Tompson, Avery Brooks, Hannah Carr and Molly Richardson.
Goals scored by Quinn Norton (5), Keeva Fox (3), Atayvia Jackson (2), Adele Ferguson (2) and Lyla Doyle (1). Tessa Matheson assisted many of these goals.
The girls tied their second game against Guelph 9-9.
Great goal tending by Isla Nickel.
Goals for the North Stars were Quinn (3), Lyla (2), Sophie Burnett-Scott (1), Adele (1), Mila Minard (1) and Molly (1).
The girls finished their season as the third rank team in Ontario.
They head to provincials this weekend in Brampton.
We wish all the girls, coaches and bench staff the best of luck in their quest to bring a medal home.

The Owen Sound U9 Berner Contracting girls travelled to Orillia this weekend and faced a loss in game one against Six Nations with a score of 15-13.
Goals came in from Faye Burnett-Scott (4), Clara Patterson (2), Meyer Quaid (2), Heidi Singh (2), Shantae (Tae) Wilson (2) and Evelyn Scholl (1).
In game two, the girls won 7-5 against Kitchener-Waterloo.
Faye led with four goals followed by single goals from Clara, Meyer and Tae.
The girls will see action again at provincials in Brampton next weekend.
