The Owen Sound Baysox defeated the Ivy Rangers in seven innings by a score of 5-3 in an afternoon game Saturday, July 22, at home.
The Sox played well on both sides of the ball, and remained resilient, thwarting all attempts of a comeback by the Rangers.
Greg Bartley came through clutch for the Baysox, slicing a two-run single that plated the eventual winning run in the first inning.
Baysox Player of the Game Trevor Smith pitched a complete game for the Sox adding to his impressive numbers this season.

The Baysox defeated the Clarksburg Blues in a makeup contest by a score of 5-2 Monday night, under the lights at the Tom Williams baseball complex, in the final home field regular season game for Owen Sound this year.
The team kept their momentum rolling as Owen Sound Baysox Player of the Game Nate Kramer pitched a complete game for the Baysox.
With good at-bats from the entire lineup the Sox roll into Midland Thursday, July 27, hoping to close the season with a win.
