The Owen Sound Attack will continue to build for the future this Saturday when the 2016 OHL Priority Selection takes place. The Attack hold 18 picks for Saturday’s draft including the 10th overall pick. Last season, the Attack held two first round selections, which they used to take defenseman Markus Phillips and forward Nick Suzuki. The Attack will have picks in the following rounds: 1st, 3rd (Sud), 3rd, 4th, 5th, 5th (Er), 6th (Osh), 6th, 7th, 8th (Ham), 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th (Flt), 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th.
The Attack will also be holding their annual Draft Day gathering in the Seniors Centre (former Tannery) which is located on the East Side of the parking lot. Doors will open at 8:45am with morning refreshments and a light lunch being served at noon by East Side Mario’s. General Manager Dale DeGray will also speak to fans throughout the day, answering questions and providing background information on drafted players.
The OHL Priority Selection begins at 9:00am and the Guelph Storm hold the first selection. The entire Priority Selection can be followed and viewed live at http://www.ontariohockeyleague.com/page/priority-selection.
