NHL Rookie Camps are set to begin around North America and a total of 10 Owen Sound Attack players will depart from the Scenic City to skate with various National Hockey League Clubs.
The 10 Attack skaters who are heading to NHL camps include all six of Owen Sound's drafted players, as well as four free agent invitees.
Venturing to Las Vegas to participate in the Golden Knights' camp is Nick Suzuki, who was selected 13th overall in this year's NHL Entry Draft by the Vegas expansion franchise.
Also heading west, and the 2nd member of the Attack to be selected in this summer's draft is forward Jonah Gadjovich, who was taken 55th overall by the Vancouver Canucks and will report to their camp.
A pair of defensemen, Jacob Friend (202nd, 2016) and Markus Phillips (118th, 2017) will head off to the Los Angeles Kings' training camp, which will also feature Attack alumnus Kurtis MacDermid.
Attack import Maksim Sushko (107th, 2017) was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers and will depart for their training camp in the coming days, with defenceman Trent Bourque (175th, 2017) going to the St. Louis Blues' Rookie Camp.
Free agent invitees to training camps include overager Ethan Szypula, who will participate in the Edmonton Oilers' Rookie Camp, Sean Durzi - who is heading to New York to skate with the Islanders, Kevin Hancock who is off to Tampa Bay, and Zachary Roberts, who will skate in the Dallas Stars' camp.
