The Owen Sound Attack's 'Stand For Our Troops' ticket exchange campaign, which allowed Season Ticket Holders to donate their seats to active duty and retired military members for the team's game against the Sudbury Wolves on Remembrance day, will be ended early after overwhelming support.
In a letter to Season Ticket Holders on Monday, Oct. 30, Attack Coordinator of Sales and Corporate Partnerships, Greg Hoddinott, said:
"I would like to start off by thanking those of you who have participated in the Stand for our Troops program. Due to your overwhelming generosity we have far exceeded our goal for donated tickets for the November 11th Military Appreciation Game. As a result, we will be closing off the collection of tickets after just 5 days.
Thank you again for your generosity and supporting our troops the way you have. We look forward to honouring our veterans on November 11th.
Sincerely,
Greg Hoddinott"
The Attack will don special jerseys that will be auctioned off in support of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 6 on Remembrance Day when the Sudbury Wolves come to town.
Tickets for that game are available at the MacVicar & McComb ReMax Attack Box Office, online at www.attackhockey.com, or by calling 519-371-7452.
