The Owen Sound Attack are proud to partner with the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 6 in Owen Sound to present Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, Nov. 11.
In honour of Remembrance Day and as a way to pay tribute to our servicemen and women that have sacrificed so much for Canada, the Attack will host a number of special events leading up to, during, and after the game as a way to say thanks.
Highlighting the night are special edition camouflage jerseys that the team will wear and then auction off on CHL Auctions over the course of the season with all proceeds going to support various initiatives by the Owen Sound chapter of the Royal Canadian Legion.
The Legion, Grey-Bruce-Owen Sound MP Larry Miller, and Grey-Bruce-Owen Sound MPP Bill Walker will be on hand to participate in a pre-game Remembrance Day Ceremony and ceremonial puck drop with the Attack and Wolves.
Members of the Legion will also have tables set up in the south to share information on their community outreach programs. At the Legion tables, fans will have the opportunity to write letters to active duty service members thanking them for their sacrifices.
Fans are reminded of the limited edition Military Appreciation Hats that are available for purchase in the Attack Shack. Priced at $29.99 plus tax, the Attack will donate $4 from every hat sold to the Legion on top of the funds raised through the jersey auctions.
A full schedule of the jersey auctions can be found HERE.
