There was plenty of lacrosse action in Brampton over the weekend.
The U19 Owen Sound-2 Girls Field Lacrosse Team has continued with their strong start to the season with 2 more wins on Saturday in Brampton improving to a 5-0 record. Game 1 over Oakville-2 with a score of 10-3 followed by 14-2 over Orillia-2. Coach Kelly Wilkins has the girls playing very well together.
The Owen Sound 2 Northstars MacKinnon Plumbing and Heating U11 Girls tied and lost in Ontario Women’s Field Lacrosse action Sunday in Brampton.
Owen Sound first played Halton Hills 2 in a tight match with a tie score of 5-5. Northstars goals were scored by Ella Todd (2), Lily Shute, Adalyn Jackson and Addison McCoubrey.
In their second game, Owen Sound lost to Orillia 2 with a score of 3-2. Alexis Sutherland and Lily Shute scored for Owen Sound.
The team is next in action on Saturday and Sunday, in Halton Hills.
The Owen Sound Tom Hall’s North Stars U19 girls spilt their games in Ontario’s Women’s Field Lacrosse league play, Saturday in Kitchener Waterloo. The team defeated Halton Hills score of 13-1.
Ryleigh Elliott scoring 3 goals, Kennedy Stauffer, Tara Meikle, Resse Wilkins scoring 2 goals each and Karyia Beach, Jamie Carr and Taylor Cheganho picking up singles.
In their second matchup, Owen Sound lost to Orangeville 7-3. Kennedy Stauffer scoring 2 goals and Lauren Radbourne scoring a single.
The team is next in action Saturday June 1 in Brampton.
