The Owen Sound 2 U13 Shute Optometry girls played 2 games Sunday in Orangeville in Ontario Women’s Field Lacrosse action.

Owen Sound first played to a 4-2 loss to Oshawa 2. Hannah Davies and Megan Cowan scored singles.

In their second game, Owen Sound fell 10-5 to Oakville. Emma Cooper scored 3 goals while Hannah Davies added a pair.

Mykah Harris was strong in net in Game 1. A big thanks to U11 goalie Madisen Feltis for playing net in Game 2.

The team is next in action Sunday, July 14th in Halton Hills.

The Owen Sound Firefighters U11A Girls Field Lacrosse team went 1-1 in Orangeville on the weekend.

The team played the number one seeded team in the province, Oshawa 1, in their first game and were defeated 3-10.

Goals were scored by Rory Jex, Leah Cooper and London Doyle.

The team met Kawartha in their second game and won 7-6.

Bree Wilkins scored four goals, Leah Cooper 2 goals and Lauren Neil scored a singleton and the game winner.

The girls play next week-end in Halton Hills before heading into Provincials in two weeks.
