The Owen Sound Artists' Co-op is thrilled to support long time (20 years!) member Linda Bester as she exhibits "30 Year Retrospective" in the Legacy Gallery for the months of April and May.
Join Linda in a celebration of her achievements on Sunday, April 12th, from 2pm to 4pm.
Linda allows us a rare glimpse into the full scope of her career, beginning with work from her youth, through to her popular present day watercolour and acrylic paintings and new mixed media projects.

On Saturday April 11th the TOM invites you to participate in the third annual "Slow Art Day". This year, there are over 180 venues worldwide who will be participating – from Adelaide, Australia to Yountville, California. Given the high speed pace of daily life, "Slow Art Day" offers the opportunity to slow down, reflect and interact with artworks and museum collections.
"Stick it to the TOM on Slow Art Day" visitors will be provided with post it notes and pencils to write down their responses to the works on view and let the gallery know what they think of them. These responses will be posted on the walls next to the artworks so that other people can read and discover what moved/inspired/challenged/provoked someone else in their interaction with the art.
Beaker Granger will be guest hosting the Friday Afternoon Coffee House & Open Mic on April 10th from 4PM to 6PM at The Bleeding Carrot. All welcome, no charge. Bring your music and your ears and have a great time.

Owen Sound – The Community Foundation of Grey Bruce in partnership with Georgian Bay Folk Society is thrilled to announce that its application to the Federal Government's Endowment Incentive Program was successful. Heritage Canada has contributed $37,000 in matched funding to the Summerfolk Endowment Fund held by Georgian Bay Folk Society.
On Thursday, April 16th the Tom Thomson Art Gallery (The TOM) will hold a public and member consultation meeting to present the "Case for Incorporation and Expansion" including a proposed Business Plan 2015-2020 that supports an expanded community visual arts centre.
The meeting will take place at the Bayshore Centre from 5pm to 6:30pm. The public and TOM members are welcome to attend.
