Summerfolk is partnering with the Georgian Bay Symphony to celebrate the holiday season with a two-part musical event at the Harmony Centre in Owen Sound on December 4th. The evening begins with the Symphony’s annual Christmas concert at 7pm featuring excerpts from the Nutcracker and other favourite seasonal medleys. When the symphony players take their final bow at 8:30pm, Summerfolk will host a licensed after party featuring local musical favourites the Rob Elder Trio.

Tickets for the Georgian Bay Symphony concert are available now through the symphony office and website. Entry to the after party is pay what you can with a suggested donation of $10.

“This event  is part of our work to build stronger connections to other community groups,” said Jaret Koop, Summerfolk’s General Manager. “Summerfolk is here to promote the arts across the community and we’re excited to celebrate the holiday season with the Symphony. We’re all folks who love music and this is a great chance to mingle now that we can gather for events again”.

For both shows, patrons will need to have proof of vaccination and ID ready when entering. Masks are also required. Children must be accompanied by an adult to the symphony concert. The after party will be a 19+ event.  Additional parking is available thanks to Georgian Shores United Church.
