Amateur and professional artists are invited to register now for the ArtWalk Plein Air competition in downtown Owen Sound, to take place Saturday, June 25 from 10:00 to 4:00. Artists can pre-select outdoor locations throughout the downtown where they will set up easels and capture the remarkable commercial, residential, natural and industrial vistas in this one-day rain-or-shine event.

Part of the fourth annual ArtWalk celebration of local art and artists, the Plein Air component will provide the public with the opportunity to view art in the making, discuss the process with the artists, and watch as the finished paintings and drawings develop.

Plein Air registrants are invited to submit one work at the end of the day for jurying and exhibition. Cash prizes will be awarded. For more information and to register ($45) for the ArtWalk Plein Air competition, contact [email protected].
