The OSLT 22/23 Productions:

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. November 10-12, 17-19 & 23-26, 2022 at 7:30pm. November 12 & 19 at 2pm.
Directed by Lacey Mooney, Beauty and the Beast invites you to step into an enchanted world and experience the classic story of Belle, a young woman yearning for adventure, and the Beast, a young prince who remains trapped under the spell of an enchantress. Will Bell help the Beast break his curse? Or will he and his household remain doomed for all eternity?
Choreography by Paula Mercer and Musical Direction by Emma McConachie-Anderson.

You, Me and a Bit of Driftwood. February 23-25 & March 1-4, 2023 at 7:30pm
Directed by Kevin Haxell and written by local OSLT member Samantha Colwell-Castles, this comedic drama about a couple navigating their relationship and family dynamics is sure to be relatable and funny to all who live through COVID-19. From Zoom meetings going sideways to overseas Facetime calls with non-technical elderly parents, the play focuses on emotions that roller coaster from love to frustration and grief and everything in between.

The Game’s Afoot. April 6-8 & 13-15, 2023 at 7:30pm
Directed by John Flynn and written by Ken Ludwig, non-stop laughter and danger await in this who-done-it comedy farce. When one of the guests at acclaimed actor William Gillette’s Christmas Eve celebration is murdered it’s up to Gillette himself, who employs the persona of Sherlock Holmes who he’s made famous on the stage, to track down the killer before the next victim appears.

Gorgeous, Gallivanting Goddesses. June 15-17 & 21-25, 2023 at 7:30pm
Directed by Bill Murphy and written by local OSLT member Sheilah Spurr, this witty comedy follows four close female friends who have gone on a wilderness canoe trip in northern Ontario. The canoe trip is an adjustment for the women as they are removed from modern amenities, comforts, and the distractions and crises that their regular lives bring to them. For each woman, this is a thought-provoking journey into the self and their relationships with each other as they come face to face with their true selves.
