Thrilled to be chosen 2nd Watercolour (Honourable mention) in the Owen Sound Plein Air Competition!

A little back story on this from Wordpress.com says:

This lovely running water fountain sculpture was designed by Emanuel Hahn in 1921. Over the years the water feature was replaced with soil and plants. The dove was lost and replaced.The monument was refurbished and the water feature was restored in 2009.

A wonderful monument to honour our brave soldiers from Owen Sound, Sydenham, Keppel, Derby and Sarawak.

I also loved how an actual bird came for a little drink while I was sketching.
