The Owen Sound Artists' Co-op is pleased to host the ninth annual Art and Craft Legacy Show for senior students in Grey and Bruce Counties. This exhibit will be showing for the month of May.
Sunday, March 7th, between 2pm and 3pm there will be a ceremony presenting 14 awards to these exceptional students for their 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional art. The public will be able to vote for that special piece that speaks to them, and People's Choice will be given at the end of the month.
This diverse exhibit allows us to see into the creative minds of our youth, and allows students to show their work in a gallery setting.
All work that is entered is on display. This is an opportunity to reward students for excellence in arts and crafts and encourage confidence, and a future in the arts.
Many local businesses, organizations, eateries, galleries and artists have contributed prizes for the students.
"Our Co-operative looks forward to this exhibit, and every year the work clearly indicates that the arts are alive and well in our secondary school students. The work is so diverse and free." Artists' Co-op manger Morag Budgeon states.
