With the reopening of 3rd Avenue East north of the Bayshore Arena and 8th Street East between 4th Avenue East and 8th Avenue East the new transit routes introduced in June will finally come into full effect on Monday November 30.
The East Bayshore, Core and Crosstown bus routes all detoured around the road closures resulting from the two major road reconstruction projects this year. Effective Monday, November 30th the buses will begin to follow the routes as shown on the attached map.

City Manager, Wayne Ritchie is pleased to announce and welcome Peter Aylan-Parker as the City's new Communications Advisor. Mr. Aylan-Parker will be responsible for communication and information strategies for the City effective November 30, 2015.
Mr. Aylan-Parker brings to the City over 16 years of experience with the Province of Ontario as a communications and protocol expert. A graduate of Carleton University, Peter joined the Ontario Public Service in 1999 and has had the pleasure of working in Cabinet Office, the Ministry of the Attorney General, and most recently the Office of the Lieutenant Governor.

The City would like to remind all residents that effective December 1, 2015, on-street parking will be prohibited between the hours of 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. until March 31, 2016, in accordance with Traffic By-Law No. 2009-075.
We ask that City residents please advise your overnight guests of this Traffic By-Law during this winter season.
The City of Owen Sound in partnership with Grey County will be re-opening 3rd Avenue East / Grey Road 15 (21st Street East to East Bayshore Road) in the City of Owen Sound on November 30, 2015.
Please use caution as crews may be on-site until December 16, 2015 performing landscaping work.
Traffic control personnel (flaggers) will remain in place to direct traffic around any obstructions caused by the continued work.
The City of Owen Sound and Grey County thank the public and residents for their patience during this major reconstruction project.
Transit service will be suspended from 10:00 am to noon on Saturday November 21, 2015 during the Kiwanis Santa Claus Parade.
Buses will not run from 10:00 am to noon on Saturday November 21, 2015 as the return route for the parade passes in front of the only entrance to the Owen Sound Transit Terminal and 3rd Avenue East will be closed at both of the nearest intersections. Buses will begin departing the Transit Terminal again at noon.
