Former City Manager, Harvey James “Jim” Harrold passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022.

“On behalf of my Council colleagues, staff and the residents of the city, I offer my condolences to his family members and friends,” said Mayor Ian Boddy.

Mr. Harrold’s love of art led him to the Board of the Tom Thomson Art Gallery, where he was Vice Chair for seven years before going on to become the Academic and Campus Director for Georgian College, Owen Sound Campus. He then went on to serve as City Manager from 2007 - 2010.

Flags will be lowered to half-mast on August 3 at City Hall in honour of Mr. Harrold.
