Owen Sound residents will have a chance to discuss the future of the city and meet Owen Sound City Council candidate Jon Farmer at Rrampt on Thursday September 15th. The event will run from 5-7pm and is being hosted by local real estate agent Wanda Westover.

“I believe strongly in the power of community conversation,” Farmer said. “My goal with conversations like this is to hear what concerns and dreams are top of mind for folks and to give them an opportunity to learn more about who I am, why I’m running, and what I hope to bring to city council”

Thursday’s event will be the third community conversation in Farmer’s campaign although the first two were hosted privately. The Rrampt space is located at 237 9th St E in Owen Sound and was formerly the location of the Bean Cellar. There will be a cash bar and coffee available and some snacks will be provided.

Westover said she is hosting the event because she endorses Farmer’s campaign.

“I’ve known Jon for years”, Westover said. “I think he has the vision and experience to serve Owen Sound well on City Council. I want people to have a chance to meet him and find that out for themselves”.
