Effective March 8, 2017, Miller Waste will no longer accept Styrofoam at their recycling facility.
Due to the lack of viable end markets the City recycling program is no longer be able to accept Styrofoam. Residents will still be able to recycle Polystyrene (#6) plastic clamshell containers, hot and cold drink lids and plastic cutlery in the curbside Blue Box Program.
Please do not put Styrofoam into your blue box or take it to the recycling depot effective March 8, 2017. Instead, Styrofoam can be disposed as normal garbage curbside collection and at the Miller Waste Transfer Station on 20th Avenue East.
