Ontario Provincial Police LogoThe Ontario Provincial Police will present their proposal for policing services to the City of Owen Sound OPP Costing Working Group on September 12, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.

The OPP Costing Working Group was appointed by Council and membership includes Mayor Ian Boddy, Councillor Brian O'Leary, City Manager Wayne Ritchie, the Director of Corporate Services, and the Manager of Accounting.

Levack Management Consulting will be in attendance to provide analytic support to the City. The estimated time to complete the analysis is two months and a full public report will be provided once it is completed.

"Policing is an important municipal service, and one that is being delivered very well by the members of the Owen Sound Police Service," said Mayor Ian Boddy. "It is also one of the largest expenses in the City budget and obtaining an Ontario Provincial Police Costing is part of the City's due diligence."
