The outdoor swimming pool at Harrison Park is open.
The pool has been completely refurbished and modernized along with the pool change house and washrooms. A new fully accessible, family changeroom has been added as well. A ramp now provides for access for all to the pool.
Mayor Boddy said, "I am very pleased that the pool is re-opening to continue the tradition of outdoor swimming at the Park". Mayor Boddy also thanked the many service groups and businesses that sponsor public swimming as well as The Miller Group/E.C. King Contracting for their generous sponsorship of free swimming.
The outdoor heated public pool will be open until September 2nd. It is fully staffed with professional lifeguards and operated in partnership by the YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce. Swim passes may be purchased at the Harrison Park Pool:
Open swim: $5 per person or $13 per family*
Seasonal pass: $52.50 per person or $90 per family*
*(Maximum of 5 - immediate family only)
Free summer swims are offered Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
