The Retail and Commercial Policy Review is ready to present its final report.
The City retained MHBC Planning Limited and Tate Economic Research to undertake a Retail and Commercial Policy Review in response to the changing retail environment and in preparation for the upcoming five-year review of the City's Official Plan.
On March 21, 2018, the Project Team held a Working Session to gather input from stakeholders about the City's Retail and Commercial Policy. An online survey was released on March 21st and remained open until April 17th. 348 respondents completed the survey.
Based on an analysis of trends, a review of the City's commercial policies, and the public input received through the Working Session and online survey, the consulting team from MHBC Planning presented a draft report of the Retail and Commercial Policy Review at the Community Services Committee meeting on June 20, 2018. The public and stakeholders were provided an opportunity to submit written comments to the City until July 6th.
The consulting team from MHBC Planning will present the final report of the Retail and Commercial Policy Review at the Community Services Committee meeting on July 18, 2018. This report will respond to the public feedback received since June 20, 2018.
