Beginning Monday, June 1, 2020 the City of Owen Sound’s Leaf & Yard Waste Composting Facility located at 2800 28th Avenue East will resume normal operating hours of 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM, seven days a week.

Due to COVID-19, the City will be continue to limit access to a maximum of 15 vehicles at one time. Physical distancing practices are to be maintained while using the facility.

Items you can bring to the site to dispose of include grass clippings, leaves, branches, logs and twigs.

The following items are not to be disposed of at the compost facility and are to be disposed of at the Miller Waste Transfer Station:

· Garbage;
· Pet Waste;
· Kitchen Waste;
· Plastic Bags or Flowerpots;
· Dimensional lumber; and
· Rocks, Rubble and Construction Waste.
