City Council had considered a request regarding the potential sale of a small piece (0.518 ha, 1.3 acres) of parkland on the City’s east side within the Stoney Orchard and Timber McArthur Parks.

Residents within 500 metres of this area were sent background information and a survey earlier this week in the mail and are being asked to complete the survey that will provide the City with information on how the park is currently used.

Others may complete the survey; however, they are asked to identify that they live outside of the 500 metre radius.

There are two options to complete the survey:

1. Complete a hard copy, then scan and email or mail to City Hall. Completed surveys can be emailed, mailed or delivered to the City Hall drop box by the front doors by Monday, June 15, 2020 to:

2. Online by visiting the City’s webpage at www.owensound.ca/PotentialLandSale/. The survey will be live from Thursday, May 28 to Friday, June 12, 2020.

Following the survey, the City will be hosting a public meeting to review the information and discuss alternatives.
