Every month I get a News Letter from my MP Alex Ruff, whom I hold in high respect, as far as politicians are concerned....BUT this months’ “Question of the month”,
“SHOULD THE GOVERNMENT PROHIBIT THE DUMPING OF RAW SEWAGE INTO OUR RIVERS AND LAKES?” has me wondering.....
I have no idea if this question is created by the Environmental critic of the Conservative Party, or is the personal query of my MP.
My reply to him is as follows:
Dear Alex...in regards to the question of the month...about prohibition of the dumping of raw sewage into rivers and lakes...I was absolutely astounded by the.... can’t find a fitting adjective. .ignorance, stupidity of this question...how about rewording it...”Should government stop Canadians from defacating in their living rooms/kitchens. .and teach them to use the facility designed for this purpose... the TOILET??”
If anything, the fact that this question is even being asked by a political party that wants to govern, is absolutely ludicrous, and is an indication of being stuck in the late 1800s...in their environmental policies...even then, Canadians used outhouses for the purpose mentioned...can’t stop shaking my head .... that this could even be a point of discussion.
