christia truck
Dear Editor:

Time to send Chrystia Freeland out to talk to the truckers. It's clear now that Trudeau's clearly over the top bombast has only hardened the truckers stand. Too much testosterone on both sides. I believe that their idea now is not just to get rid of the vaccine restrictions but also to get rid of Trudeau. Whenever you see two men with hackles raised prepared to go at it, there is going to be blood on the floor if one of them doesn't back down. It is pretty easy to predict that the truckers won't. Their idea of freedom is too ingrained. At this point Trudeau has to step back hopefully making the truckers feel they have won. He could say, "This has gone too far and I admit that I am part of the problem. Chrystia Freeland will from this point be the person in charge of resolving this mess." Hopefully this will be enough to make the truckers feel that they have won. I suggest Chrystia Freeland because she is the only one I can see who has been around the block enough in regard to understanding conflict and how it might be resolved. She has to make the truckers believe that they have won while doing as little social damage as possible. The first step would be to have the truckers agree on a person to speak on their behalf. The next step would be for Chrystia and that person to sit down and get to know each other. The use of alcohol might be beneficial.
