As COVID-19 cases increase, this pandemic starts to rearrange events in Grey-Bruce for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.
From October 19th to November 2nd a Coins for Kids fundraiser will happen to raise money to keep mentoring youth in the area.
A few minor changes have occurred to keep this fundraiser safe for everyone. A friendly reminder to use masks when talking to anyone and sanitize regularly.
The Coin for Kids fundraiser can be accomplished individually or as a team. This fundraiser encourages you to knock on the doors (virtually or safely!) of family, friends, neighbors' doors to collect donations on behalf of your team.
For this fundraiser, there is a big prize for two titles. A big prize will be awarded to the team or individual who raises the most money and another one for whoever has the most donation entries.
The Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization put on a couple of fundraisers already this year in the spring and fall. They have held Golf for Kids’ Sake in the fall and Bowl for Kids’ Sake in the spring.
These fundraisers build relationships between families, friends, mentors, mentees and help build a stronger bond.
They need your help as they switch up their style to stay in the safety guidelines of COVID-19. So, get together in a group or by yourself and help this organization by donating to a cause to help support youth to give them a lifetime experience.
