Abbey Blokland is a student at Owen Sound District Secondary School (OSDSS) who has been doing a co-op placement with the Owen Sound Hub this term, and we are honoured to have her.

Abbey has written a number of stories, including her first opinion piece on Mary Miller and the park that bears her name. She is working on a number of other stories, including a ship wreck and women in businesses coping with the pandemic.

In the three weeks remaining in her co-op, Abbey has generously agreed to answer some of our readers' questions. Perhaps you do not have the privilege of a 16 year old woman yet (or still) in your life, and you are interested in their perspective on things.

Of course no one can represent their whole generation or gender, and Abbey will certainly have the right to answer only those questions she chooses, but we thought this could be an interesting experiment, and she is up for the challenge.

Whether it is a public issue, local or global, pop culture, education or the future – ask away.
We hope you look forward to the questions – and Abbey's answers – as much as we do here at the Hub.
